3 Best Celebrity Fat Burning Tips

By Rosie Peters

Just the other day, I was totally immersed in a back copy of a women's magazine while in a medical waiting room. I was assured in large bold front page letters that I could have Liz Hurley's body. Intrigued and delighted, I turned to the story, perused Liz Hurley's fit and toned body and reluctantly deduced that the best way for me to get her body would be to abduct it at gunpoint.

Liz Hurley, model and actress, has a fantastic 42 year old body and I could no way replicate her amazing genes and flawless English complexion. I could however, readily live with her celebrity fat burning tips and you could too.

The story was about how Liz Hurley toned up for her bikini clad holiday. Her fat burning tips were the things she apparently did for 1 week prior to setting out for the salty seas. And they make perfect sense, although you will need to do them for more than 1 week if you are looking to lose more than 1/2 - 1 kg.

They are actually great fat loss tips for a diet for life, not just for the approach of the summer holiday skin baring ritual.

Ms Hurley of the toned thighs and tight abs gives 3 excellent tips to burn fat.

1. Drink more water. She drinks water even though she says she does not particularly like water. Here is the first real hint about being slim and healthy. You have to do things you don't particularly like. Giving up the fizzy drinks and replacing them with flat or fizzy water is an excellent way to lose fat.

2. Drink less alcohol. Again, not something that seasoned drinkers like to do, but what is weight loss worth to you? Alcohol is full of sugar that converts very readily to fat when you don't burn it off with regular exercise.

And if you, like me (and probably Liz Hurley), enjoy settling down to a couple of refreshing alcoholic drinks, then you are not likely to suddenly leap up and start exercising or planning a nutritious meal.

You are more likely to leap up and head for the salty snacks vending machine, then back to the bar for more empty calories. Cutting down alcohol is going to help you lose weight; you have to have the willpower to do it.

3. Eat smaller portions at night time. Night time is when your body prepares for rest and choking it up with food stores that are not needed till the next day will just result in your poor beleaguered body storing the excess as fat.

Much better to have a big breakfast and work it off through the day than to end the day with a big bloating meal. I'm guessing, looking at her shape, that Liz Hurley is having smaller portions of lean protein, veges and salad, rather than smaller portions of deep fried chicken and fries with gravy. These fat burning tips might not be what you want to hear, but they are very sensible and will work for you if you are serious in your desire to lose weight.

A final comment from this particular celebrity was spot on. She said, no matter what shape you are in, never put yourself down by saying something like "I hate my thighs", because you will then fixate on this body part and be easily discouraged, despite your best weight loss efforts. I know, I know, it sounds easy for a glamorous and beautiful world renowned celebrity to come out with this, but if she did not put the work into her body, she would not look that good.

You and I may never look as beautiful or be as famous as Liz Hurley, but simply by drinking more water and less alcohol and eating less at night, we can make the best of the bodies we have.
